Nestled at the foot of the University of Cape Town and beneath Devil's Peak, The Baxter offers a unique cultural experience. Established in 1976, it played a pivotal role during apartheid, showcasing groundbreaking multiracial performances. In 1985, it made history with the first interracial kiss on a South African stage.
