The Mozart Requiem on 12 August 2017 hosted by Gauteng choristers, conducted by Sidwell Mhlongo.
The soloists for the Mozart Requiem are Pretty Yende, Sibongile Khumalo, Musa Nkuna and Aubrey Lodewyk.
The 3-hour concert will commence with a performance of the 2nd and 3rd movements of Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 5 (Emperor Concerto), the soloists will be a young self-taught pianist Tumi Ramonti. It will be followed by a world premiere of The Crucifixion by LJ. Nkuna (orchestrated by Musa Nkuna).
There will be a 20-minute interval and the Mozart Requiem will be performed in the 2nd half of the concert.
