The inaugural installment of the Johannesburg International Comedy Festival will be held from the 6th to the 8th of November of this year in Braamfontein and Newtown.
It will be a 3 day comedy extravaganza consisting of multiple shows in multiple venues featuring a plethora of local, continental and international talent coming together in a festive celebration of the true globalisation of stand up comedy!
Festival Schedule
The first day of the inaugural installment of the Johannesburg International Comedy Festival features 5 shows in Stand Up Africa, League of Nations, Live From The 13th Floor, Fire In The Hole and The Late Nite Show.
30 comedians take to stage across 5 venues with shows starting at 7pm and ending at midnight. Get your tickets here!
Saturday showcases the second and last installments of the following shows; Stand Up Africa, League of Nations, Live From The 13th Floor, Fire In The Hole and The Late Nite Show
Shows start at 6pm with the last show, Bantu Hour Live ending at 12am! Its the last opportunity to see the comedians on the line ups of these shows. Get your tickets here!
The last day of the festival features 2 very unique shows! The first being Vernac Attack which starts at 3pm at the Bassline Theatre whilst the South African final of the global talent search, Jokenation which will feature the hottest emerging talent performing in the country today, closes the entire festival with a showing at the Market Theatre from 5pm till 7pm.
