Slovoville 1st Annual Colour Festival

Colour festivals are a feast for the eyes, but also great fun to take part in.

Did you know that the idea of throwing colourful powder in the air, completely covering yourself and those around you, actually has ancient roots? In fact, the colour festivals we see today are loosely based on an ancient festival that has been celebrated in India for centuries, called Holi, to mark the beginning of spring and the triumph of good over evil.

Because of the vibrant, striking colours and the fun that comes with playing with colourful powder, these festivals are being celebrated all over the world, and are seen as a joyful celebration of diversity.
