Tamasha On Hope Street

Coming to The Market stages is the premier of Rajesh Gopie’s new play, Tamasha on Hope Street.

The story delves into the lives of Albert, a Zimbabwean on the run after xenophobic attacks and Payal, a young street prostitute. Set in Chatsworth, Durban, Albert, a night watchman believes he has escaped to safety until he discovers Payal, and their lives collide with dramatic repercussions.

Starring Lindani Nkosi and Ameera Patel, directed by Gopala Davies and mentored by Gitanjali Pather.
