Welcome to Friends of the Iziko South African Museum. Your digital membership card is attached. You may either save this on your mobile phone or keep a printout to show the Iziko Museum front-of-house staff to gain free entry to the museum and to Friends activities. This also entitles you to discounted benefits to other Friends outings.
Membership runs for a calendar year i.e. January to December. By joining now, your membership will be valid until 31 December 2025.
Membership of the Friends entitles you to free entry to Iziko South African Museum at all times, excluding the Planetarium, and preferential rates on all Friends outings. Unfortunately, it does not provide free entry to the Castle of Good Hope, Groot Constantia or other Iziko sites.
The Friends have lectures at 18:00 on the first Thursday of each month from February to December in the TH Barry Lecture Theatre at Iziko South African Museum. These lectures are free to members, visitors are asked for a donation of R50.00. Details of the programme will be emailed closer to the time.
