Solo organ works and works for organ and voice from the Baroque and contemporary eras. In this program presented to the world, is the premiere of a song cycle by the Canadian/South African composer Jacobus Kloppers.
This work is the composer’s first ever song cycle composed for solo tenor and organ and has been dedicated to the above-mentioned artists. Furthermore, we intend to showcase the unique combination of voice and organ, not often heard. In this recital, the organ utilised as both solo and ensemble instrument.
This particular instrument at Wits is best suited for Baroque and contemporary music.
