Village Square

The village square is a multilingual and multicultural collaborative project that encompasses different disciplines of the arts created by Tlokwe Sehume. Its thrust is around the spoken word (recital), accompanied largely by indigenous African classical instruments like mbira, lekope, botsorwane and meropa (African drums) as well as western instruments.

The Village Square boosts with colourful recitals centered on African languages and dialects including some of the most marginalized languages such as Xun which is a language of the San.
