The play is centered around a funeral of Azania at his home where his family, friends and community are gathered to pay their last respects.
The funeral ceremony reflects the tension between the young and old generations in values and traditions and how they each experienced Azania and claim to have known Azania while still alive.
The tension also arises out of the presence of both the “Modern Christian Priest or Pastor and a Sangoma, the Traditional Healer.
Both claim their right to conduct the funeral proceedings.
