Pinocchio finally returns to the Baxter Theatre

After not being on stage for three years because of Covid19, The Lilliput Children’s Theatre Company will be performing one of their most successful shows, Pinocchio for the December school holidays. Pinocchio is back by popular demand and will run from Tuesday 20th December until Saturday 24th December at 1:30pm.
Pinocchio will be staged in the Baxter Concert Hall, at the Baxter Theatre in Rondebosch.

Pinocchio is based on the original Carlo Collodi classic of the little wooden puppet who has to prove himself to be honest, trustworthy before he can become a real live boy, with help and guidance from Jiminy Cricket and the Blue Fairy. Follow Pinocchio and Geppetto on their adventures to Stromboli’s Puppet Theatre and inside a whale. Watch Pinocchio’s nose grow as he lies to Geppetto and see Jiminy Cricket magically turn into a life-size cricket. A fairytale classic for the whole family to enjoy over the December school holidays.

Pinocchio is one of the world`s best loved fairy tales and is adapted and directed by Elton John Duffy, who has been producing Children`s Theatre and delighting audiences for the past 29 years. This is a true traditional fairytale with a modern twist. This production stars Yentl Bosman as Jiminy Cricket, Marissa Claasen as the Fox, Asanda Mngadi as Gepetto, Saskia Bormans as the Blue Fairy and Veronique Folscher as Pinocchio.
