Chicago The Musical is based on a 1926 play by reporter Maurine Dallas
Watkins, a columnist at the time, whose columns were so popular with
the public that she chose to use the material for a play. The play led to a
1927 silent film, which was then adapted into Chicago: A Musical
Vaudeville in 1975. Later revived and renamed Chicago: The Musical, this
show became the longest-running American Broadway show ever.
Audiences clearly cannot get enough of “all that jazz”. Fall in love with
