On Saturday 3 June at 19h30, Con Spirito Philharmonic presents Opera, Operetta and Musical excerpts at the Uitsig DRC, Mountain View Drive, Ridgeworth, Bellville. Soloists Zanne Stapelberg, Violina Anguelov-Hobbs, and Conroy Scott, will perform Opera arias from Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro and Verdi’s Il trovatore, Operetta arias such as ‘Vilja’ (from Lehar’s Merry Widow); and popular Musicals numbers such as ‘You'll never walk alone’ (Carousel); ‘Climb every mountain’ (Sound of Music); and ‘Ol man river (Showboat).
Choir and soloists join for the ‘Easter Hymn’ (from Mascagni’s Cavalleria rusticana), and for the Durbanville Preparatory School Choir’s performance the well-known ‘Sing’.
Included is Gabriel’s Oboe (from The Mission) - an enjoyable evening for the whole family, not to be missed!
