The Nutcracker is an 1892 two-act ballet '(fairy ballet")originally choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov with a score by Pyotr Ilyich Tchalkovsky. The Libretto is adapted from E.T. A. Hoffmann's story . The Nutcracker and the Mouse King. The production will be presented in partnership with Joburg Ballet, featuring the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra.
