Set against the backdrop of a modern family residing in the southern suburbs of the capital city, who left the fridge open? Follows the trials and tribulations of The Dinkunyana’s. A middle-class family trying to make it against all odds in the democratic South Africa. Navigating against all the hardships the country has to offer, from potholes, to looting, high interest rates, mass shootings and power-cuts, this intergenerational family tries to see the glass half full but struggles to understand things from a common perspective which results in chaos every time they try to interact.
