Jive Culture Season 4

Oddball Concepts in association with Dulux Astro paints, brings you the ever-popular production - The Jive Culture Shock! Season 4.

Inaugurated as an online competition in 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic, this unique production introduced local and international audiences to the greater talents of the various Cape Minstrels & Malay Choirs.

In 2023, this live stage production will include choreographer and director Rushney Ferguson, popular Cape Flats artist Tashreeq “TDV” De Villiers and ‘Mr. Welcome to Cape Town’ himself, Nur Abrahams and Austin Rose makes a return to stage after a short break.

Added to these headliners, will be a 6-piece cast that will re-enact both minstrels and malay choirs, backed up by a live 10-piece band. Performances by the youth of the Baruch School of Music is sure to bring the house down! All scored and musically directed by Brett Marvin Edwards.
