Twee akteurs daag nie op nie, die verhoogbestuurder kry die intrektyd heeltemal verkeerd, en nou begin daar oor ’n halfuur ook nog ’n kerkdiens in die teater.

Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet becomes the musical Romeo & Johanna. A young new director who excels in experimental theatre, is staging an Anglo Boer War version of this crazy musical. But during the dress rehearsal everything goes wrong. Two actors fail to show up, the stage manager gets the move-in time completely wrong, and the theatre is booked for a church service which starts in half an hour.
