Join the Mother City’s most innovative choral collective for “A Peek Inside the VOX” as we put the finishing touches to our immersive programme of choral music for the FynArts Festival in Hermanus next month!

Inspired by the splendour of the natural world and the unique biodiversity of the Overstrand, our choral offerings will range from the sublime polyphony of Palestrina to captivating miniatures by Stanford to Mia Makaroff – and music written in the last decade by no fewer than four South African composers. Our voices will be accompanied by the celestial sounds of tuned wine glasses in 'Stars' by Eriks Ešenvalds, and other instruments as we unleash the kinetic energy of Eric Whitacre's 'Cloudburst'.
Curious to hear how we refine the many elements of a VOX experience? Pull up a front-row seat in the light and airy Studio Rehearsal Room at the Baxter on Saturday 25 May – which also happens to be Africa Day! Observe the ins and outs of the rehearsal and meet local composers Nicky Schrire and Grant McLachlan as they guide us through their music. In the break and afterwards, join us for a glass of wine (or two) and get to know the personalities behind the voices!
