School-based music programmes have been breeding grounds for South Africa's rich musical heritage for decades, and providing pathways for musical careers in the industry. This is also where many of our countries leading musicians discovered love for their craft. In recognition of the importance of music in the development of children, The Playhouse Company wishes to acknowledge, and celebrate the wealth of talented young musicians in KwaZulu Natal. Through a showcase of the top ten school music ensembles, All Stars Shine - A showcase of KZN School Talent, in celebration of the diversity of musical cultures that South Africa offers.
