COPPELIA

COPPELIA is a charming tale of love, mischief, and magic, offering audiences of all ages a memorable day at the ballet. The story follows the young couple, Swanhilda and Franz, and the mysterious Dr Coppelius, who created a doll so lifelike that Franz falls in love with her. Set to Léo Delibes beautiful score, COPPELIA is staged by former principal dancer and artistic director of CTCB, Robin Van Wyk, who has waved his magic wand over our local dancers to bring you this delightful production. The leading roles of Franz & Swanhilda will be performed by guest artists from Cape Town, and the inimitable character dancer Johnny Bovang, will perform the role of Dr Copppelius.
