ROCK THE MOUNTAIN AT KILLARNEY’S DRAG DAY!
Monster drag cars will rule the strip at Killarney’s three-way Rock the Mountain event on Saturday 13 July – but on the same ticket you also get Regional Karting and a full day of Short-Circuit Racing on the Half Main!
Killarney’s Drag Days are all about purpose built drag racers, lightweight bodies fitted with highly modified, insanely powerful engines, sequential gearboxes and huge ultrasoft ‘wrinkly’ tyres. But there are classes for everything, including superbikes and street cars, so you’re guaranteed a full day of straight-line action.

Short Circuit races on the Half Main are short, sharp and very intense; fitness is key, even for teenagers. But it’s also the most affordable motorcycle racing discipline in South Africa and the Grin Factor is huge – for spectators as well competitors.

Kart Racing is a true family sport, with classes for everybody from five-year-olds in 50cc Bambino karts to adults in 34-horsepower DD2 karts capable of 125km/h – which is a lot faster than it sounds when your backside is less than 20mm off the tar! Karts carry very high corner speeds and their engines are all identical, so the racing is intense and very, very tight.
