Paranoid Android: Pierrot Lunaire and other psychedelic trips ENDLER CONCERT SERIES

Journey with Pierrot’s Twilight Ensemble into a world of fresh perspective that bridges the gap between classical and contemporary genres , promising a psychedelic auditory adventure. The programme includes Schonberg’s Pierrot Lunaire, a chamber work set to Albert Giraud’s 21 poems about Pierrot, a moonstruck clown navigating a surreal landscape of love, madness, and longing.

Other works include Concession's fusion of classic tradition with the pulsating rhythms of techno music for flute, clarinet and piano. The rock band Radiohead is celebrated in a commissioned arrangement by Matthijs van Dijk for the ensemble to the song Paranoid Android.

Though it may appear that the programme challenges conventions, listeners will also be transported to the lush landscapes of Ireland with the timeless charm of Frank Martin’s “Trio on Irish Folk Tunes” for viola, cello and piano. Redefining the boundaries of music, this concert features a variety of styles and electrifying musical fusions through the lens of chamber music. There’ll be something for everyone.
