The Market Theatre Laboratory is proud to present "Afropocalypse," a new South African work, performed by First Year Lab students and directed by Daniel Buckland. This captivating performance will transport audiences to a post-apocalyptic South African wasteland, where a community of traveling players and storytellers navigate a desolate landscape through the power of narrative."Afropocalypse," follows a troupe of intrepid storytellers as they peddle tales of the past, recounting stories that have survived and evolved through the cataclysm that reshaped society.
The production delves into speculative narratives about the events that led to the end of the world as we know it and explores themes of survival and resilience in the face of overwhelming despair.
