Only in it for the money”, an evening of songs and stories from Robin Auld, is a guided tour through his 40 years of songwriting, Musically the show visits all the well known tunes from his career, from his SA all-time classics “All of Woman” and “Baby you been good”, up to songs from his acclaimed 2022 album “The Everlovin’ Wind” which had two number ones on the Mix fm National Top 20.
Interspersed with the songs are humorous anecdotes about his early days in the South African music business, tales of the people and places that have featured in Robin's life and travels and the stories behind the songs. Robin interacts with the audience and encourages banter in a lively and uplifting show.

The first run was at the Masque Theatre in Muizenberg and was sold out for three nights. The show then ran successfully for two weeks at the BMW Pavilion Theatre on the Cape Town waterfront, garnering great press and standing ovations on the last three nights. It has also done successful one nighters at other Western Cape venues such as Die Boer in Durbanville.
