Known to many as the Godfather of South African standup comedy, Barry Hilton will be bringing bucket-loads of laughter to Ground Culture in the vibrant Observatory precinct on 20 and 21 November. Ironically, Barry went to Observatory High School, so it really is him returning to his roots.
The veteran comedian, who has performed to audiences around the globe for more than four decades, seems to show little sign of slowing down. "But I am downsizing," he says. "I'll never stop making people laugh, I'm just choosing to do it closer to home and in more intimate venues," adds Barry who recently settled in Cape Town.
