FINAL SHOWDOWN FOR 2024 POWER SERIES AT KILLARNEY
Saturday 16 November at Killarney sees the final round of this year’s Power Series presented by Lime Property Management in association with Smile 90.4 FM. Championships are at stake and the contenders have nothing to lose – expect fireworks.
And with the return of warmer weather, Killarney ranks high among Cape Town’s premier outdoor destinations for families who love to braai, to picnic or just relax with good friends in the great outdoors. Bring your beach umbrella or gazebo and your cooler box, light up your skottelbraai and make the day your own.
There are outlets around the facility serving hot snacks and cold beverages, as well as several children’s play areas, and for mothers of young children, there’s the Baby Zone right next door to the Kiddies Korner at the Clubhouse, with private facilities for feeding, a changing station and fridges for keeping juice-boxes cool enough to quiet the most fractious toddler.
For petrolheads-in-training and their dads, the pits are always open too, so you can also see the cars and motorcycles up close; there’s also a free shuttle service to watch the action from different vantage points.
The programme features races for Modified Saloon Cars, Sports & GT Cars, thundering V8s and single-seater Formula Libre racing cars, as well as three motorcycle categories. It’s action all the way from 8:00am till sunset - even during the lunch break when we invite you down on to the circuit to meet the drivers and get a close look at the cars.
At the same time, Spin Outlaws will be shredding rubber on the Castrol Spinning Pitch; experience this vibrant expression of street-car culture at no extra charge.
