Spotlight On: Zapiro

Join us for a combined screening of the poignant documentary "The Showerhead," which chronicles the career of South Africa’s most beloved political cartoonist, Zapiro, alongside the launch of his 2024 Annual, "I've got GNUs for you."

Directed by Craig Tanner, “The Showerhead” is a comprehensive film that captures Zapiro’s evolution from an anti-apartheid struggle artist to a national treasure.

After the screening, the audience will have the opportunity to engage in a Q&A session led by Marianne Thamm and Zapiro himself, while enjoying a complimentary glass of wine courtesy of Radford Dale.
