The 'When We See Us: A Century of Black Figuration in Painting' exhibition, which is currently on show on level 3 of Zeitz MOCAA, brings together artworks from the last 100 years by Black artists from around the world. The artworks explore Black representation through portraiture and figuration. Inspired by one of the exhibition’s themes – Joy and Revelry – the May Family Learning Workshop invites participants to create their own figurative painting that captures a moment of joy they have experienced in their lives.
