The Symposium accompanies the opening of the exhibitions, 'Past Disquiet, and Seismography of Struggle: Towards a Global History of Critical and Cultural Journals'. Together, these two exhibitions speak to rich and radical histories of art and culture as integral to political struggles for democracy, equality, and sovereignty. The one-day symposium will explore the themes and values with keynote lectures from the three curators - Zahia Rahmani, Kristine Khouri, and Rasha Salti - and a roundtable discussion on poetic and political approaches to the archive.
