The Quickening Theatre Company presents: the Tony award-winning A Doll’s House, Part 2 by Lucas Hnath - a smart, funny, freshly contemporary response to Ibsen’s classic. Highly successful on both Broadway and the West End, the play was nominated for 8 Tony Awards, including Best Play, and won for Best Actress.
This thought-provoking dramedy about the pros and cons of marriage is both moving and immensely entertaining - a sharp, often explosively hilarious play challenging societal expectations of love and the family structure.
You do NOT have to have seen Ibsen's A Doll’s House to delight in and fiercely relate to this play. It stands entirely on its own.
Bianca Amato (Isidingo, Binnelanders) returns to the SA stage to play Nora, after garnering a wealth of experience and recognition in New York City both On and Off Broadway. SA's beloved star of stage and screen Zane Meas (7de Laan, The Storyteller of Riverlea) is Torvald. Seasoned NY-based director Barbara Rubin returns to take the helm.
Do not miss this much anticipated, high-calibre production.
“Smart, funny and utterly engrossing” The New York Times.
