Akoustik Elektrik Music Presents Benjamin Jephta’s Homecoming (2015) 10 Year Anniversary Tour.

Celebrating a decade of musical milestones, acclaimed bassist and composer Benjamin Jephta is thrilled to announce the Homecoming 10 Year Anniversary Tour.
This special series of performances marks the 10th anniversary of his debut album, Homecoming, a groundbreaking release in the South African jazz landscape.

This performance in the beautifully designed WITS Chris Seabrooke tour will reunite some of the original quintet from the album—Bokani Dyer (piano), Sphelelo Mazibuko (drums), Sisonke Xonti (tenor sax), Michael Nkuna (trumpet), and Benjamin Jephta (double bass).

About the Homecoming (2015) Album:

Released in 2015, Homecoming was Benjamin Jephta's debut album, hailed for its innovative approach to South African jazz and its exploration of identity and heritage. Over the past decade, the album has continued to resonate with audiences and remains a landmark in Benjamin’s career.

This tour is proudly presented by Akoustik Elektrik Music, with funding support from the South African National Treasury’s Jobs Fund and the Southern African Music Rights Organisation (SAMRO) as part of the Festival Enterprise Catalyst (FEC).
