Born with haemophilia in Paarl, Jan came close to death but defied the odds to grow up and graduate from UCT—only to be struck by a new tragedy. A contaminated blood transfusion left him HIV-positive, and doctors gave him just four years to live. Armed with his father's hand-drawn map and cryptic instructions, Jan embarks on a perilous journey to fulfil a promise and recover the long-lost family treasure—defying fate once again.
