When his younger brother Schalk suddenly dies, Louw returns to his family’s smallholding from London. Their father, Gert, now lives alone. Louw hasn’t been home in nine years and is surprised to see how dilapidated it is. Old wounds are opened as they try to avoid the truth, shift blame, test and manipulate each other, find common ground and avoid their family history.
