‘The Crucifixion of Amagqwirha’ tells the tale of four young girls who are desperately seeking to find their missing friend.
Unfortunately their quest seems to reach a cul de sac when their concerns are taken up by a community of elders that are arrested by the suspicion and superstitious that come with old wife tale - coupled with a young newly appointed chief who's reasoning seems to mimic that of a teenage boy who views and navigates through life as though it was one long video game.
The story is executed in a proudly South African manner through the use of indigenous folk tale and shadow puppetry.
Running time: 50 minutes
Age restriction: 13 and above.
