Text Me When You Arrive puts to trial the social media trends around gender-based violence and questions the practicality of such hashtags & the digital space's ability to exert tangible change. This Naledi Nominated piece tackles the complicated conversation of rape culture in the South African context and interrogates the subject in a way that is engaging & palatable for late adolescent minds. This is production is devised from the gaze of those most affected by this issue (women) in a country that GBV grossly plagues. We aim to provide perspective to the unaffected and create a safe space for dialogue about "What's not okay".
